A few days ago Martina Rua asked me if I had ever considered writing a book. You know… I had children, I planted a tree, but I don’t know who it was who said that to live a complete life you also have to write a book. It must have been the owner of a Book Publishing company, who even made you plant the trees to get him the paper supply (now with the Kindle will it change to “have a child, make a chip, write a pdf”?).
The reality of the matter is that the idea of writing a book is tempting but it implies so much work that I probably will not do it at this stage.
But there is something else. The main thing I could write about is the history of Officenet. And even if “Passion for Entrepreneurship”, the book of my friend and co-founder Andy Freire, does a lot more that simply telling the story, it does tell the most interesting parts of it and the funniest anecdotes. Many times I make the joke that since the book is to a certain extent a kind of biography of myself and Andy did not ask for permission before publishing it, I consider it my first “Unauthorized Biography”.
Since I am not planning to write a book right now, I thought probably many of you did not read Andy’s book. And as he has three chapters that he gave for download in pdf, I decided to share them with you here. So you have one more entertaining thing to do this weekend.
You can download (for free!) “Passion for Entrepreneurship” here:
Chapter 1: What is being an Entrepreneur?
Chapter 9: Creating the Super Team
Enjoy!
