Santiago Bilinkis l Risk and Reward - Trying to live a life out of the comfort zone

While I hear little classical music in my post monthly on music this month I want to tell two stories beautiful and interesting in this regard.

The first was something I heard during the recent winter break, when I took my kids to see a wonderful piece of theater that runs Sergio Feferovich and is called “Around the World on a violin”. In a moment of the play, half in jest, half seriously, Sergio mind that once a person approached him and told him:

- I would give my life for playing the piano as you play!

To which he replied:

- I say.

For me that I am a few months ago for the first time in their lives learning to play an instrument, at least this story illustrates the difficulty enormous and delivery means to engage in music.

The second story is already a bit old and may have heard of it (more than 50 million people watched the video in its different versions), but I share the doubts. He went back to my memory when this week at a concert organized by the college of my children I heard a tenor singing “Nessun Dorma” and, as always happens to me, I ended up with eyes full of tears.

Look I’m not walking in tears. I’m tough. But there is something in that work that is beyond me. I moved to the depths and leaves me perplexed at the beauty that is capable of producing human beings. More amazing still is the story as the account that follows this video. If you do not see yet I recommend that you listen to quiet, until the end and with good volume. The challenge is not emotions.
